Last month WWE gave fans what they had been waiting for when The Shield finally reunited. Their reunion was put on pause for a little while when Roman Reigns had to take some time off due to health issues, but the trio are back now and better than ever.
Sunday night The Shield took on The New Day at Survivor Series, and The Hounds of Justice managed to pick up the victory on behalf of Raw.
Monday night the Raw Superstars got back down to business, and The Miz welcomed Roman Reigns to the ring for Miz TV. During the segment Reigns made his way to the ring with Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, and he challenged The Miz to an Intercontinental Championship match on Raw, and General Manager Kurt Angle later made the match official.
Roman Reigns has accomplished a lot during his time in WWE, but the commentators hyped up the fact that he had never won the IC Title.
The Miz made his way out the ring alone, and Roman Reigns did the same. So, it appeared that both stars were on a level playing field prior to the start of the match.
During the match, Sheamus and Cesaro made their way to ringside to distract Roman Reigns, and The Miz hit the Skull Crushing Finale, but Reigns kicked out.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose then made their way down to take out Sheamus and Cesaro, and Roman capitalized with a spear to get the win, and he won the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career.
