When it comes to top stars in WWE right now Roman Reigns is the man to beat, and he’s been in possession of the Universal Title since September of 2020.
With Reigns really coming into his own over the last year or so there’s been a lot of talk about potential dream matches for The Tribal Chief, and John Cena and The Rock are two names that seem to come up a lot.
The Head of the Table was recently asked about a potential match with The Rock while talking with SportsNation and he encouraged The Great One to stay on the set.
“Yeah, that [a match with The Rock] is a dream for a lot of our fans, but it ain’t a dream of his, you know what I mean? I get a lot of this with both Dwayne and John. These guys are doing very well for themselves, there’s no question about it. If I were these guys, I don’t know if I’d wanna come back and deal with me. I am a problem right now for everybody. If I were them, I’d stay on set and keep pumping out these streaming service movies. Don’t come to my ring is what I would do.”
It’s rumored that John Cena will be returning to WWE programming in July, and that he could be facing Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. WWE officials are also reportedly hopeful that The Rock will appear at a big pay-per-view later this year, and you can get more on that here.
