Over the years fans have seen a lot of different stables come and go, and for a time it seemed that The Hurt Business was picking up some serious momentum. However, on the road to WrestleMania 37 WWE made the decision to split the group up, but keep Bobby Lashley aligned with MVP.
The decision to split The Hurt Business up was heavily criticized by some people in the wrestling community, and during an interview with BT Sport Roman Reigns shared his thoughts on WWE breaking the group up too early.
“I don’t think we have quite as many groups or factions. Bobby Lashley is a great example. The Hurt Business, that was a good group, you know what I mean? It may have, you know, broke up a little too early. I don’t know, I wasn’t part of that process. Bobby Lashley is a bigger star now, whether they handled that whole path to get there properly or maximize that?
I don’t know, that’s not my business, because I didn’t make it my business. But I just still think Bobby Lashley is that WWE Champion, when that spotlight’s on him, he looks like more money than he does when he’s surrounded by other guys.”
On Saturday night Bobby Lashley defended his WWE Championship against Goldberg at the SummerSlam pay-per-view, and Lashley retained the title after the referee determined that Goldberg could no longer compete.
