Roman Reigns was champion for over 1,300 days, but his historic reign came to an end earlier this year when he dropped the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes.
Following the main event Cody Rhodes appeared on the SI Media podcast and confirmed that Roman Reigns was nowhere to be found by the time that he got backstage after the match.
“This might sound odd, we don’t need to have a moment. He was nowhere to be found in Gorilla when I got back. And I look forward to when we actually do have that moment and get to see one another.”
Roman Reigns recently spoke to Jimmy Traina about his relationship with Cody Rhodes on the SI Media podcast and Reigns was asked if he and Cody have had a chance to share a moment he said, “No. There’s no need. But if you wanna sit out there and babyface for four hours I ain’t waiting. Especially at that point.”
When asked if he would have waited if there wasn’t a big celebration after the match Roman added, “Well what’s waiting? You know what I’m saying? What kind of time are we talking about here? We gotta keep moving. I don’t live in Philly, so like I said, there’s some jet fuel to be burnt, and I had to go. I think he hit it on the head, I’ll give him that. We know what we did. We were both out there. You can thank each other and all that old stuff, but we put our bodies on the line together, and I think that’s thanks enough.”
