Roman Reigns Retains Undisputed WWE Universal Championship At Royal Rumble

Roman Reigns has been one of WWE’s top stars for years now and he’s picked up some major momentum as he’s been champion for over 1,200 days. The Tribal Chief has had a target on his back ever since he won the gold and he put the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line on Saturday night when he defended the belt against LA Knight, AJ Styles and Randy Orton in a fatal four way.

The Tribal Chief made his way down to the ring without Solo Sikoa or Jimmy Uso as it was only Paul Heyman who accompanied Roman Reigns as he made his entrance. As soon as the match kicked off Orton, Styles and Knight teamed up then attacked Roman Reigns. However, the alliance didn’t last long as Knight and Styles turned on one another as Orton set his sights on The Tribal Chief.

Roman Reigns took a beating as LA Knight hit him with the BFT at one point, but AJ Styles broke it up. Styles then hit Reigns with the Styles Clash and tried to end the match until LA Knight broke up the pin.

AJ Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm which Randy Orton reversed into the RKO off the top rope. Orton then hit the RKO on LA Knight and Roman Reigns. The Viper pinned The Tribal Chief and it seemed like he had it won. However, Solo Sikoa broke up the pin when he pulled the referee out of the ring.

Orton went after Solo Sikoa who hit The Viper with the Samoan Spike. Solo then hit LA Knight with the Samoan Spike and stacked him on top of Randy Orton. Solo charged at AJ Styles outside of the ring and tried to ram him through the barricade, but Styles moved out of the way at the last second.

Roman Reigns stood up to see LA Knight stacked on top of Orton, but AJ Styles hit the Phenomenal Forearm and Roman fell onto the pile. AJ pinned all three men for a two count as everyone kicked out.

AJ Styles grabbed a chair from under the ring. Styles beat Roman Reigns down with several chair shots. He then did the same to LA Knight. The Phenomenal One went for Randy Orton who countered AJ then walked into a spear from Roman Reigns. Orton rolled out of the ring and LA Knight set Roman Reigns up for the BFT.

Roman Reigns pushed Knight into Styles then hit Knight with a Superman Punch. The Tribal Chief followed up with a spear on AJ Styles then pinned him to win the match.
