WrestleMania was once again a two night event this year, and on Sunday night Roman Reigns defended his Universal Title against Edge and Daniel Bryan in the main event.
All three men entered to a loud reaction from the crowd, and Roman Reigns got aggressive very early on in the match. As soon as the bell rang Roman took control and threw Daniel Bryan to the outside.
Daniel Bryan ate a superkick from Jey Uso, and Uso also hit Edge with a superkick. Edge then destroyed Roman Reigns on the outside, and took Uso out of the equation when he hit him with the Edgecution on the ring steps.
At one point Roman Reigns set up the ring steps at the announce table, and he powerbombed Daniel Bryan through the table as the fans chanted “Roman sucks.”
Edge then immediately followed up by spearing Roman off the steps to the floor as the fans chanted “this is awesome.”
Roman Reigns got back in the ring, and Edge tried to bring a chair in, but Roman stepped on it. A piece of metal broke off from the chair, and Edge locked in the crossface with the metal bar across Roman’s mouth. Daniel Bryan then grabbed Roman’s other arm as they both applied the submission hold on Roman before fighting each other.
Edge grabbed another chair and unloaded on both Reigns and Bryan in the ring. The Rated R Superstar then hit Bryan with a Conchairto, and he attempted to do the same to Roman Reigns, but Jey Uso returned and stopped him. Edge destroyed Uso with the chair before eating a spear from Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns hit Edge with a Conchairto, placed Edge on top of Bryan, then pinned both men to retain the title.
