Roman Reigns has moved into a new phase of his career which means that The Tribal Chief hasn’t been making regular appearances on WWE programming recently. It was rumored that Reigns would be defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle at Money in the Bank, but Sports Illustrated is reporting that Roman Reigns is no longer scheduled to work the event.
Originally Money in the Bank was set to take place from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. WWE recently announced that the show had been moved to the smaller MGM Grand Arena. According to the report WWE changed plans for the show after the venue was moved.
Roman Reigns is still expected to compete at the SummerSlam premium live event on July 30th with Randy Orton as his rumored opponent for the show, and he’s also expected to face Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle in September.
As of this writing Roman is not currently being advertised for any upcoming WWE live events or TV tapings until the July 22nd episode of SmackDown in Boston, and the July 25th episode of Raw at Madison Square Garden. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
