Roman Reigns was recently put on the sidelines due to a viral infection, and the illness caused WWE to shift their creative plans in a major way. Reigns was replaced by Kurt Angle in the main event of TLC, and it seems that plans for him at Survivor Series have were also changed as well.
WWE recently confirmed that Roman will be returning to Raw on Monday, and PWInsider is now reporting that Reigns has been cleared to return to the ring.
With Roman being cleared to return, and Survivor Series set to air on the WWE Network next Sunday, it’s expected that The New Day vs. The Shield will be announced for the pay-per-view.
The New Day recently invaded Raw and Sheamus and Cesaro ended up defeating Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to win the Raw Tag Team Titles thanks to the distraction. Reigns also recently got into a Twitter exchange with Big E.
