Last month Bill Goldberg defeated The Fiend to win the Universal Championship at Super ShowDown, and on the following episode of SmackDown it was announced that Roman Reigns would be challenging him for the belt at WrestleMania.
However, Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Roman Reigns has been pulled from his title match at Mania.
According to the report Reigns expressed to WWE that he didn’t feel comfortable doing any more shows at the Performance Center during the coronavirus pandemic because he’s immunocompromised due to his battle with leukemia.
WWE honored his request, and the company is set to find a replacement for the match.
Dave Meltzer noted on the Wrestling Observer message board that he’s Braun Strowman will be the replacement for Roman at WrestleMania 36.
