Roman Reigns returned to the ring over the weekend when he teamed up with Jey Uso to defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at SummerSlam. On the following episode of Raw, Roman Reigns confronted Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker after the main event, and The Tribal Chief ended up on the receiving end of a beatdown courtesy of The Vision.

Following Raw there was a lot of speculation among fans that Roman Reigns may have been written off TV so he can film the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

PWInsider is now reporting that production for the Street Fighter movie isn’t supposed to begin until September. Roman Reigns is scheduled to film on the set for four weeks starting on September 2nd. Reigns is expected to finish up his commitments for the film on September 26th as long as production runs on time.

Roman’s schedule for the film indicates that there is still time for him to make additional appearances on WWE programming before he films the movie if WWE decides to go in that direction.

It was reported a few months ago that Reigns will be playing Akuma, and Cody Rhodes will be playing Guile. According to the report Cody Rhodes is not expected to be on the set as long as Roman Reigns.

As of this writing the Wells Fargo Center is currently advertising Roman Reigns for the August 18th episode of Raw in Philadelphia, PA.
