Roman Reigns has been the Universal Champion for over 400 days now and The Tribal Chief has defended his title against a variety of opponents ever since he became champion. Reigns is currently set to defend his title against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel later this month, but it looks like his next feud is already being planned out.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Drew McIntyre was moved from Monday Night Raw to the Friday Night SmackDown brand because Roman Reigns desperately needs new opponents.
It’s presumed that Drew McIntyre will lose when he challenges Big E for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel, and then he will be positioned as a big contender for Roman Reigns in December.
It was recently reported that Roman’s match with Brock at Crown Jewel will likely not be a one off, and that WWE has plans to extend the feud. You can get more on that here.
