Roman Reigns knows exactly what it feels like to main event WrestleMania as he’s headlined the Show of Shows several times, and he’s doing it once again this weekend. The Tribal Chief has faced a variety of opponents in the main event at WrestleMania, but it sounds like he has one specific name in mind for a future match.
During a recent interview with ESPN, Roman Reigns was asked who he would like to face in the main event of WrestleMania in the future, and he named his former Shield brother Seth Rollins.
“I think Seth is a good answer. We have a lot of open-ended history. I think there’s a lot of competitive brotherhood there. There is an estranged love due to our past history. There’s always been – and this is just Seth – an underlying friction to where we can easily butt heads. And that’s caused us, as we move further away from The Shield, to plant our feet on the line we’ve drawn in the sand. I couldn’t run away from this business. This is all he’s ever wanted to do, and I’m just better than him. That’s not a lie. I’m better than him.”
Reigns and Rollins have a certain history when it comes to WrestleMania as Seth previously ruined Roman’s big main event with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE Championship. The Tribal Chief and The Visionary last faced off at the Royal Rumble in 2022, so it will be interesting to see when they end up crossing paths again.
