Roman Reigns’ Loss On Raw Could Be A Sign WWE Is Preparing For The Worst

The WWE is moving fast toward WrestleMania 34 and the idea for the main event was set in stone a year before the big show. Roman Reigns will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 34 in a Beast vs Big Dog battle of the ages that we’ve already seen before at WrestleMania 31.

But just like before, Seth Rollins might be getting involved because after that outstanding gauntlet match performance on Raw this week people are starting to look at The Architect a bit more seriously.

With claims circling from Richard Rodriguez saying he has proof of dealings with Reigns that he bought performance-enhancing drugs from him, WWE could very well be preparing for the worst. The jury is still out as the evidence seems to be looming and filmmaker Jon Bravo is currently going through all of the dates, numbers, and other data presented to him from Rodriguez’s personal laptop. He is updating people as he uncovers more information and some of these numbers might go on to affect WrestleMania.

But the fact Roman Reigns lost to Seth Rollins on Raw in the opening match of the gauntlet was no indication WWE has changed their direction just yet.

“I could have probably told you going in that he was going to do the job in the first match,” Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live. “That’s what they do. It has nothing to do with any of this.”

“Now, let’s say that something happens. Let’s say that this guy provides phone records. He provides receipts, and he provides whatever and Roman Reigns is struck down, okay? That maybe why they gave Seth Rollins such a gigantic push in the match last night. They gave Seth Rollins that push so that in case something goes down they have him ready to step in against Brock Lesnar. That may have been why they did that. But what happened to do with Roman? Nothing to do with anything.”

Therefore, Roman was going to lose in the match anyway because he’s in line to win the Elimination Chamber so that’s just how WWE books things. It could be in the back of their mind that a new film from Jon Bravo could be around the corner causing them to suspend Roman Reigns for 60 days and miss WrestleMania completely. Only time will tell on this one, but it doesn’t look like WWE is changing their plan for the Universal Title match at WrestleMania for now.
