The Shield dominated the WWE roster for a very good run until they disbanded. The Hounds of Justice triple powerbombed plenty of foes through tables to the delight of fans all around the world, and being a part of this amazing stable made Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns megastars in the process.
But when The Shield went their separate ways they had to establish themselves and create their own paths to greatness. Now Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose seem to be back together and closer than ever, and even though it’s great to see 2/3 of The Shield united, they’re still missing Roman Reigns.
Roman recently spoke to ESPN where he talked about his current opportunities on WWE’s main roster and more. Right now Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are keeping themselves occupied as Raw Tag Team Champions while Roman Reigns has bigger fish to fry.
The Big Dog justified his current position on the roster by saying right now he’ll just let The Lunatic Fringe and The Architect do their own thing. As awesome as it might be to see Roman Reigns get back together with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, it doesn’t sound like Reigns is willing to give up what he currently has to join his former stablemates.
“Over the next few weeks, we’ll be able to see it play out,” he said. “But the main thing right now is I’ve been in the title picture for the Raw brand, so I can firmly say neither of those guys would leave [that opportunity] to rejoin The Shield [and] rekindle that flame.”
“Maybe I’m a third wheel at this point,” he said. “It just really depends. I feel like the next few weeks are really going to play out some important things for me. Obviously, I need to transition coming out of this big feud between the four monsters.”
What do you think about it? Should Roman Reigns give up his current feud with John Cena in order to rejoin Rollins and Ambrose for an epic triple fist pound once more?
