Last week Vince McMahon officially retired and it was also announced that Triple H had returned to the role of Executive Vice President of Talent Relations. It was confirmed on Monday that Triple H is also in charge of creative moving forward.
Theory has been taunting people with his Money in the Bank briefcase the weeks leading up to SummerSlam, and this week on Raw he was confronted by The Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns got a big reaction from the crowd when he referenced Vince McMahon’s retirement by telling Theory his “daddy” isn’t here anymore.
As Roman Reigns was leaving The Today Show he stopped to sign some autographs, and when he was asked to comment on Vince McMahon’s retirement he said, “I just wish him nothing but luck and happiness in the future. It’s been great.”
Roman was also asked about his mindset going into SummerSlam and he simply said, “Don’t lose.”
Brock Lesnar will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in a last match standing match at SummerSlam on Saturday, July 30.
