The Shield are together once again, but their breakup is still fresh in the minds of WWE fans. In 2014, Seth Rollins decided to turn on his Shield brothers when he beat them down and hit them with a steel chair then joined The Authority.
Fans haven’t forgotten about the attack, and neither has Roman Reigns. During a recent interview with The Times of India, Reigns was asked to choose between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, and he chose Ambrose.
“Ambrose, no doubt. He didn’t swing the chair.”
It’s been a big year for Roman Reigns, but The Shield reunion is just the top of the iceberg.
The current Intercontinental Champion defeated The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 33, and he also defeated John Cena at No Mercy. Roman was also asked which victory was more satisfying, and he gave the nod to his win over John Cena.
“Beating Cena was more satisfying but it was bigger moment obviously for me beating The Undertaker in one of the biggest Wrestlemania’s of all time. It was just one of those moments in my career that’ll shine no matter what happens or who I get in the ring with. Being in the ring with The Undertaker in the main event, that speaks for itself but there is something very satisfying about beating John Cena.”
