In October of 2018, Roman Reigns kicked off Monday Night Raw and announced to the world that he was vacating the Universal Championship so that he could focus on his battle with leukemia.
Roman then gave up his belt, walked up the ramp, then hugged his Shield brothers, and he hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since.
But WWE recently announced that The Big Dog would be providing a health update on Raw this week, and Roman kicked off the show on Monday night.
Roman Reigns got a big pop as he made his entrance, and he took his time as he greeted all of the fans on the entrance ramp, and the fans who were sitting at the ringside area.
The crowd chanted “welcome back” as Roman got in the ring. Roman thanked the fans and said that he’s missed them all. He said he was terrified before his announcement in October and he didn’t know if he wanted to share his secret with the world.
Roman thanked everyone for showing their love and support. He said so many people prayed for him that God’s voicemail was full, and he felt the positive energy.
Reigns then announced that he’s in remission, and The Big Dog is back. He then made his way around the ringside area and greeted the fans once again.
Seth Rollins’ music hit as Roman was walking up the ramp, and Seth came out and hugged him.
