It’s been over 4 years since CM Punk left the wrestling world behind. Punk attempted to make the transition to MMA, but unfortunately his run with UFC didn’t go very well as he’s currently 0-2 and Dana White has indicated that he won’t be giving him another shot.
Fans are waiting to see what CM Punk is going to do next, and he has no shortage of options if he wants to return to wrestling.
F4Wonline.com is reporting that Ring of Honor is interested in getting CM Punk to return, and that the company has sent feelers out to Punk.
It’s speculated that ROH wants CM Punk for their show with NJPW at Madison Square Garden next year, but at this point it’s being said that Punk’s potential return is a longshot.
In June, CM Punk was asked if he will ever return to the ring, and he said that he is done with wrestling.
“Yesterday I said a bunch of stuff about wrestling, like how I’d never gotten a true offer, this does not mean I want to wrestle. I’m done, I’m done, I’m done with professional wrestling. A lot of people like to be mad at me about that. They make fun of me because I lost my first fight, and that’s fine you’re entitled to your opinion. But you do not own me and I am entitled to do what I want to do and that’s what I’m doing. Wrestling is in the rear view mirror.”
