Daniel Bryan is a hot topic of discussion for many people. WWE won’t let him return to action in the ring, but that doesn’t mean he can’t go somewhere else eventually.
As time goes on it looks even more doubtful WWE will ever clear him to return. But seeing how Daniel’s contract is reportedly up in 2018 there might be some light at the end of the tunnel.
The fact is as long as he can wrestle and stay safe it’s good enough for us. We don’t want to see Daniel Bryan hurt himself or suffer some kind of awful injury that will stick with him forever. But he’s a professional wrestler and has learned to accept all that comes with the occupation.
For Daniel Bryan, wrestling is his passion and his therapy. He desires more time in the ring and obviously misses it by the way he talks on Total Diva/Bellas as well as how sad his eyes get for that split second on SmackDown Live every time he comes out. He sees the ring but knows he’s not wrestling and that has to eat him up inside.
Daniel Bryan called Ring of Honor home for the longest time. He became a fan favorite while under the ROH banner and entertained the masses with his technical ability and love of sports entertainment.
ROH COO Joe Koff recently spoke to Fansided where he was quite candid about the door being wide open for Daniel Bryan to come in as soon as he is able to.
“Wel, I don’t think it’s any secret, and all the previous ROH wrestlers know, that they are always welcome back in Ring of Honor. This is their home, so to speak. We never chided anybody for leaving for what they thought were greener pastures. And look, a lot of them have succeeded on a far greater platform than we could have provided them at the time.”
“So if Bryan Danielson would love to come back, I didn’t work with him personally while he was here, but I would personally welcome him back.”
