The Stone Cold Stunner is one of the most iconic wrestling moves in history, and during his time at the top, Steve Austin used the move to put away many of his opponents, and it helped him win some major titles in WWE.
The Stunner was always a fun move to watch, regardless of whether someone sold it well or not. Vince and Linda McMahon could probably win an award for their poor attempts to sell the move, but stars such as Scott Hall and The Rock knew just how to make the move look good.
The Rock and Steve Austin had arguably the greatest feud of the Attitude Era, and they spent years trying to one up each other. Throughout the course of their rivalry, The Rock was hit with the Stunner many times, and he always did an amazing job of selling the move.
The Rock would constantly launch himself into the air, or roll backwards in a ridiculous fashion, and the fans couldn’t help but appreciate his efforts.
Comedian Hannibal Buress recently brought up The Rock’s Stunner selling on his podcast, and The Rock responded by saying that he used to bet cases of beer with Steve Austin on how crazy he could get with selling the move.
If you watched this rivalry at its peak, then you know it’s probably safe to say The Rock ended up winning quite a few cases of beer.
