CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series last month and he immediately got people talking. During the post-show press conference Triple H discussed Punk’s return and he pointed out that they’re both different people now compared to the last time they worked together.
It seems that Triple H’s comments resonated with WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam as he recently shared some insight on his reaction to Triple H bringing Punk back on his 1 Of A Kind podcast.
“[Triple H] said, ‘If you’re the same person you were 10 years ago, you’re doing something wrong, because we’re all growing,’ and I thought, ‘Wow, man. It’s cool to know that he gets it.’ We all learn from every experience.”
Rob Van Dam also talked about how he thinks Punk could be easier to work with now when he added, “I wouldn’t be surprised if CM Punk was a lot easier to get along with. Compared to before, [when] he had an overly prevalent chip on his shoulder.”
It’s been confirmed that CM Punk will be appearing on Friday Night SmackDown this week, and he will also be making an appearance on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Stay tuned for updates.
