Anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling, and a few weeks ago fans saw Rob Van Dam make his surprise debut with All Elite Wrestling. RVD challenged Jack Perry to a match for the FTW Championship which led to Perry retaining the title over Rob Van Dam on Dynamite last week.
Apparently some fans took exception to Rob Van Dam appearing on AEW programming and they claimed that the Hall of Famer did wrong by WWE. Van Dam responded to the backlash and also indicated that he may have gotten permission from WWE when he posted the following tweet:
“Some fans are saying I did WWE wrong by appearing on AEW. I wonder if they would all eat s**t f I revealed that I had permission to do it? Or would they just move on to puke out the next meaningless bulls**t that comes out of their mouths?
Yeah, I figured. I’ll keep it to my self for now.”
At this point AEW has not announced any more appearances for Rob Van Dam, so it seems that his match with Jack Perry was just a one time thing for now. However, Van Dam did recently state on his podcast that he talked to Tony Khan about possibly doing more with the company in the future.
