Rob Van Dam is the only man to ever hold the WWE Championship and the ECW Championship simultaneously, and he’s always been a fan favorite. RVD has been taking it easy over the past few years, but he’s making plans to return to the ring.
The former WWE Superstar recently spoke to Sports Illustrated, and he noted that he’s looking to book 24 matches over the next 12 months.
“I’m looking at 24 matches, all international, booked over the next 12 months,” said Van Dam. “I don’t have any plans to share, but there is always a possibility of a return.”
Van Dam also added that even though there aren’t any plans in place for a return to WWE he has had talks with the company recently, and he hasn’t closed the door on a possible return in the future.
“I’ve talked to WWE recently, but it’s about the new video games that are coming out. That was more of a business talk about that, but when the business is right and it’s the right time to go back, that, of course, is then always a possibility.”
Rob Van Dam’s last run with the company gave him the chance to feud with new stars such as Seth Rollins, Cesaro and more.
If RVD does return who would you like to see him feud with? Sound off in the comments below.
