On this week’s episode of WWE Backstage it was revealed that Rob Gronkowski was close to finalizing a deal with WWE, and now it seems that the deal is done.
The Wrap is reporting that the former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has signed a deal with WWE, and he’s currently set to make his debut on the March 20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
It’s also being reported that Gronk is set to appear at WrestleMania 36 in Tampa on April 5.
However, it’s being said that he likely won’t be wrestling at the Show of Shows this year, as his appearance at WrestleMania will be used to set up a future match.
Rob Gronkowski is certainly no stranger to WWE as he previously stepped in the ring at WrestleMania 33 when he helped his friend Mojo Rawley.
Stay tuned for more updates on Gronk’s WWE status.
