A few years ago D-Generation X was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and all of the members of the group got a chance to say what they needed to say during their speech.
The induction was interesting because fans knew that Billy Gunn was set to work for All Elite Wrestling, and when Billy joked that he couldn’t be fired Triple H responded by saying Vince McMahon would, “buy that pissant company, just to fire you again.”
During a recent episode of his “Oh… You Didn’t Know?” podcast Road Dogg addressed Triple H’s comments and he admitted that he felt bad for Billy Gunn.
“Look, it didn’t, so I am always closer with Billy than I have been with anybody else, Billy and X-Pac. But, so I felt bad for Billy, look at the time, I get it, I get why he said it. But it didn’t need to be said and I understand why it was said and it was all in fun, but it did make me feel bad for Billy for a bit. I mean he works there, you know what I mean, he’s just trying to get along too. It’s not a hill I’m gonna die on, but I felt bad for Billy right then.”
Billy Gunn also recently revealed his reaction to Triple H’s comments during the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and you can get more on that here.
