Brian James is best known to WWE fans as Road Dogg, and during the Attitude Era he dominated the tag team division as one half of the New Age Outlaws. Fans haven’t seen the Outlaws or Road Dogg appear on WWE programming in quite some time, because James is busy working backstage and he’s been trying his best to put together good shows for the SmackDown Live brand.

As is the case with any form of entertainment, you can’t please everyone, and no matter what you do there will inevitably be a negative reaction from at least a portion of the fanbase. Sunday night’s WWE Battleground pay-per-view was a bit of an underwhelming event, and some fans were less than pleased with the show. A few fans on Twitter decided to direct their anger at Road Dogg, and he joined in on the conversation.
The ending to the Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin match was brought up, but this fan didn’t make much progress when voicing their complaints.
Another fan decided to stick up for Road Dogg.
The #FireRoadDogg hashtag picked up some steam over the past few days, and Road Dogg reacted by sending a message to his haters.
Road Dogg then followed up by going on a blocking spree.
Road Dogg has obviously been getting a lot of hate on Twitter over the past few days due to some of the booking decisions, but he’s always happy to engage in conversation with fans as long as they’re respectful.
Looks like Road Dogg is having a bit of a tough time on Twitter right now. If you’ve been rocking the #FireRoadDogg hashtag, maybe you should consider giving the poor guy a break. SmackDown Live was excellent this week after all.
