The WWE main roster is loaded with talent, which means that unfortunately there’s only so much TV time to go around. In recent months Kit Wilson has been a regular on the Friday Night SmackDown brand, and it sounds like Road Dogg played a role in making sure Wilson was featured on WWE programming.
During a recent virtual signing with Signed By Superstars, Road Dogg shared his thoughts on Kit Wilson, and he stated that he gladly fought to get Kit on TV.
“Love him. I will gladly say that I fought to get him on and we had to, under dark of night, we had to get him on Main Event a few times so that we could show everybody that it was fun and catchy.”
Over the last few weeks Kit Wilson has been involved in a high profile feud with Jelly Roll that culminated in a match on last week’s episode of SmackDown. Unfortunately for Kit it was Jelly Roll who picked up the win.
Road Dogg had been working in WWE creative for some time, but it was reported back in March that the Hall of Famer decided to leave his role and part ways with the company. He also opened up about his reasons for leaving WWE and you can get more details on that here.
