This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was the season premiere for the red brand and the show featured a special 25th anniversary celebration for D-Generation X. Of course only four of the members were present for the celebration because Billy Gunn is currently working for All Elite Wrestling.
Fightful reported that there was at least some talk of WWE trying to get Billy Gunn to appear on Raw for the DX reunion, but ultimately he didn’t end up on the show.
Fans on social media have expressed their disappointment with the lack of Billy Gunn on Raw, and Road Dogg noted on Twitter that WWE did all they could to make it happen when he responded to a fan with, “It was sad. He should’ve been there! WWE did all they could do to make it happen”
Billy Gunn has managed to become one of the most popular stars in AEW thanks to his alliance with The Acclaimed. The WWE Hall of Famer was in action on Wednesday night when he faced off against Swerve Strickland on Dynamite, but it was Swerve who got the win.
