Have you ever wanted to join the ranks of ROH? Well, now you finally can. Ring of Honor just announced that they will be holding their first ever Women Of Honor Tryout Camp and seminar in coordination with the Japanese female wrestling company, Stardom.
The ROH Camps are an instrumental part of how many current Ring of Honor talents found their place on the roster. Some of these tryouts have even been televised in the past. This is the first time ROH has ever held a female-exclusive tryout camp and they are not only looking for new additions to the Women of Honor roster, as participants might also earn an opportunity to get a tour of Japan with Stardom.
The all-day tryouts will take place in Bristol, Pennsylvania on March 18th starting at 9:00am at the ROH Dojo. The camp will also have a camera crew there filming for the Stardom World television show.
There is a $150 registration fee for the tryout which not only gives participants the opportunity to be seen by ROH officials, but also receive personalize critiques from ROH and Stardom staff and lunch will be provided. The seminar is only open to female wrestlers with at least one year experience and they have to provide their own transportation as well as any required lodging while attending the day’s activities.
Sounds like it will be a great chance for some women to make an impact on the professional wrestling world. For all we know, fans could very well be watching a video package before a big pay-per-view match someday where one of the competitors says that she got her start in the business on March 18th, 2017 when she took a bus to PA and placed a bet on herself.
