Over the last few weeks Luke Menzies (formerly known as Ridge Holland) has been a very hot topic in the wrestling world. Menzies is currently sidelined due to injury and he was informed in October that his WWE contract would not be renewed. Recently he publicly aired his grievances over the fact that he is not going to be paid while he recovers from injury and it was reported that WWE made the decision to terminate his contract early.

A GoFundMe page was started for the former Ridge Holland and he recently took to social media to state that the page was created by a family member, and he wasn’t aware it was going live when he posted the following:

“Thank you all for the incredible support shown through the GoFundMe campaign.

However, I want to clarify that I was not aware the page was going live and had no prior discussion with the family member who created it.

I’ve since requested that no further donations be accepted, and this change should take effect within the next 24 hours.

One we figure out how to move forward and I recoup the amount donated, I will be donating said amount to charity.

I sincerely apologize if the page caused any upset or offense – that was never the intention. Thank you for your understanding and kindness.”

Menzies also clarified that he is not planning to donate the GoFundMe money, but will be donating money he has earned to charity once he’s back on his feet.

“I AM NOT DONATING THE GO FUND ME MONEY!

Once I am earning money and in a position to donate I will donate to charity. This will be the money i earn not the go fund me money.

I am not a scammer.”

Stay tuned for updates.
