Ricochet is certainly no stranger to controversy as the former AEW National Champion is constantly getting into exchanges with fans on social media.
Over the weekend Ricochet lost his AEW National Championship at the Revolution pay-per-view and the company later posted a video of him crashing out following the loss on social media. One fan responded to the post with a tweet which said, “His acting hasn’t improved.” Ricochet followed up and replied to the fan’s tweet with the following response: “I’m glad you got MS.”
Shortly after Ricochet posted the “I’m glad you got MS,” tweet he became a trending topic as many fans called him out for his post. Now he has issued an apology as Ricochet posted the following on X:
“I took out my hatred for the IWC on Sandi, and inadvertently others who are effected by MS. She didnt deserve it and for that, I sincerely apologize.
Moving forward I’ll do better.”
Ricochet has been heavily criticized for his insensitive tweet and fans seem to be divided on his apology. One look at the comments shows that some people feel the apology isn’t good enough, while others have acknwoledged the fact that he is owning up to his mistake.
After the exchange went viral Ricochet eventually deleted his tweet, and the fan it was directed at has since locked their account.
