The past few months have definitely been intense for former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann. Rich was arrested following an altercation with his wife and he was charged with false imprisonment and battery, and WWE immediately suspended him after the incident.
The charges were dropped, but WWE later announced that they had mutually agreed to part ways with Swann.
The former Cruiserweight Champion made his return to the independent scene, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be fulfilling his obligations.
He recently indicated on Twitter that he would be retiring after finishing up his schedule, but now F4Wonline.com is reporting that Swann has canceled all of his upcoming wrestling appearances, including his WrestleMania weekend shows.
Swann is said to be despondent due to the reaction he’s been receiving.
Baron Corbin recently spoke to NOLA.com to promote the upcoming Fastlane pay-per-view, and during the interview he was asked to name his dream WrestleMania opponent. Corbin named Bam Bam Bigelow and WWE Hall of Famer Big Boss Man.
“Growing up, I idolized Big Boss Man and Bam Bam Bigelow just because they were big guys who could move and were tough. I felt like they both rode motorcycles. And Bam Bam had his head tattooed. Those are the guys who really got me into wrestling. So one of those two at WrestleMania would be awesome. They brought me into this whole world as a kid, and it would be really cool to go to battle with them. It would make a really cool moment for me.”
