Ric Flair Told Former WWE Star He’s Better Than Seth Rollins

Ric Flair has been in the professional wrestling business for decades now, and throughout the course of his career he’s seen a lot of talents come and go.

Buddy Matthews had a decent run with WWE as Buddy Murphy, but unfortunately his run with the company came to an end when he was released last year. Recently Buddy Matthews joined All Elite Wrestling, and Ric Flair had some major praise for Matthews during a recent episode of his Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast.

“I have a special place for Buddy Murphy. I like Buddy Murphy a lot. I used to tell him, ‘You’re better than Seth Rollins.’ He is a talented kid man. Watch him work. He is talented as hell.”

Buddy aligned himself with Seth Rollins in 2020, and together they went on to capture the Raw Tag Team Titles. Eventually their partnership turned into a heated rivalry, and Buddy went on to defeat Rollins.
