John Cena announced recently at Money in the Bank that he plans to retire in 2025, but also clarified that he plans to work from January through December. A lot can happen between now and the end of John Cena’s career, and many fans have been talking about whether or not Cena could win his 17th world title.

Currently Ric Flair and John Cena are tied with 16 world title wins, but The Nature Boy recently explained on Busted Open Radio that he would have no problem with Cena breaking his record.

“The honest to god truth, I think so much personally of John Cena. He’s one of those really great guys, in my opinion, and I’ve known a few. In a perfect world, it would be my daughter [Charlotte], which I think would be the biggest thing that could ever happen. I told her one time, she didn’t like the comparison, I said, ‘You’d be as famous as Serena Williams if you broke that record. It’s been there for so long.’

“She didn’t like the comparison, but she’s as good an athlete as there is alive today. But if they do it with John, I’d have no problem. I’d be the first one to hit the ring and shake his hand.”
