A lot of people are talking about the contract signing that took place on Monday Night Raw. Charlotte brought up her brother Reid who unfortunately passed away a few years ago and Paige used her brother’s death as fuel for the fire when she was trying to get Charlotte riled up. Charlotte and Reid’s mother wasn’t very happy about the angle and now Ric Flair is speaking out.
During his most recent episode of his WOOOOOOO! Nation podcast Flair gave his thoughts on the segment.
“Obviously I have an opinion, but I’m afraid to voice it because I don’t want anything to affect Ashley’s career. I know that Hunter and Stephanie and Michael Hayes have her back I don’t think she feels she’s comfortable enough to say ‘no’ to anything yet, she’s only been up there three months.” Flair said.
Ric Flair didn’t seem too happy about the angle however he did emphasize that he doesn’t feel like Triple H, Stephanie or Michael Hayes would do anything to hurt Charlotte. But he did say that no one mentioned it to him before the segment took place.
“I never heard a word about it. I started crying when I was watching it. Nope, nobody called me.” Ric Flair added.
