Ric Flair officially retired after he was defeated by Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24 in 2008, but he later came out of retirement in Impact Wrestling. Years after his last match in Impact, Ric Flair continued to tease a potential return to the ring, and he finally laced up the boots once again for his final match in the summer of 2021.
Recently Ric Flair made his AEW debut, and even though it seems unlikely obviously fans have been wondering if he might wrestle for the company as you can never say never when it comes to The Nature Boy.
While speaking to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ric Flair noted that he doesn’t think he’s going to wrestle in AEW, but he wouldn’t say no if the opportunity presented itself.
“No, I don’t think I will. If you’re asking me if I want to? I have to be careful what I say because it never comes out (the right way). I just made it very clear to everybody that I can take bumps. I have a doctor’s release to do anything I want like that. Do I think I’ll wrestle again? No. Would I like to? Obviously. I’m never going to say no.”
