When Ric Flair went down due to an awful medical program that nearly took his life last Summer everyone was so happy to see him pull out of it. Now it looks like Naitch is under the weather once more and he’s doing something that he rarely ever does which is cancel a scheduled appearance.
In an emotional and well-written statement, The Nature Boy sent out the following:
“Due to a sudden illness, I am sorry to say that I must cancel my appearances this weekend. I want to personally apologize to all the fans who were expecting to see me in NYC, Dallas, and Arkansas and the people who worked very hard to put these events on. As someone who has never missed a day of work in his entire career, it is with a heavy heart that I had to make this decision. Again, thank you to all my fans for your continued support and I will be Stylin’ and Profilin’ again in no time.”
This is a much bigger deal than some might think due to the fact that Ric Flair is a workhorse and he really doesn’t miss events he’s booked on. Therefore it must be something he cannot avoid taking care of if he’s pulling out of shows like this.
Let’s also explore another fact he revealed in this apology. Flair was expected to fly from New York City to Dallas and then make it to Arkansas in a 72-hour time frame. While traveling is like second-nature to the 2-time WWE Hall Of Famer at this point, that kind of demanding travel schedule could be extra demanding for a 69-year-old.
Hopefully, Ric Flair will be able to rest up and get back to his usual self because you know as soon as he’s ready The Nature Boy will be working overtime to make up for missing this weekend’s gigs.
