Ric Flair originally retired in 2008 after he was defeated by Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24. However, Flair later came out of retirement when he returned to the ring during his run with Total Nonstop Action, and he wrestled his last match in 2022 when he teamed with Andrade to face off against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.
The Nature Boy officially made his debut with All Elite Wrestling in October of 2023 and he noted during an appearance on the Five Star Podcast that Tony Khan ruled out an in-ring after he found out Flair was on blood thinners.
“Once Tony found out I was on blood thinners, he wouldn’t let me get in the ring.”
It seems unlikely that we’ll be seeing Ric Flair wrestle in AEW, but it appears that he is ready to lace up the boots once again if the opportunity presents itself as Flair was asked if he has one more match in him and he said, “H*ll yeah, I do!”
