We’re on the road to WrestleMania 41 and Charlotte Flair is set to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at the big event. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Charlotte and Tiffany met in the ring for a promo battle and the segment quickly went off the rails.
Tiffany Stratton took several shots at Charlotte Flair as she referenced Charlotte’s father, Ric Flair, and her history with divorce. The segment got a lot of attention and it was later reported that the two stars went off script.
Ric Flair recently discussed the promo battle during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, and while he didn’t say too much about how it played out, The Nature Boy did make it clear that he didn’t like it.
“I have an opinion but I don’t really want to voice it. I can say it’s very sensitive. I didn’t like it, but wrestling is wrestling. I hate when they use me, but Charlotte said it, you think that’s the first time hearing my name?”
