The annual WWE Elimination Chamber PLE aired live from the United Center in Chicago on Saturday night and the show kicked off in a big way. The Women’s Elimination Chamber match opened the show as Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Asuka, Tiffany Stratton, Kiana James and Raquel Rodriguez attempted to earn a title shot at WrestleMania.
Before the bell rang and the match started WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill was shown in her suite holding up her title belt as she watched from the crowd.
Tiffany Stratton and Kiana James were the first two competitors in the match. Asuka was the third competitor to join the match followed by Alexa Bliss. Rhea Ripley was the next wrestler to step into the Elimination Chamber and Raquel entered last.
Alexa Bliss went for the Sister Abigail DDT on Kiana James, but Asuka spit mist in her face before she could hit the move then Kiana rolled Alexa up for a three count to eliminate her.
Raquel Rodriguez placed Kiana James up on her shoulder and she put James through one of the pods with a running powerslam. She followed up with a Tejana Bomb to Asuka and she slammed her down on James then pinned them both to eliminate James and Asuka at the same time.
Raquel had Tiffany Stratton on the top rope as Rhea Ripley dove off the top of a pod to send Raquel crashing down onto the mat. Stratton followed up with a moonsault on Raquel and pinned her to take her out of the match.
It came down to two as Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton battled back and forth. Eventually Rhea Ripley connected with Riptide on Stratton to pick up the win.
After Rhea Ripley pointed at the WrestleMania sign as Jade Cargill looked on.
