Rey Mysterio made his WWE return at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view a few weeks ago, and he’s set to wrestle Jushin “Thunder” Liger at NJPW’s Strong Style Evolved event next month.
There’s been a lot of speculation regarding whether or not Rey will sign a new contract with WWE sometime in the next few months, and he’s admitted in recent interviews that he’s open to returning if the two sides can agree on a new deal.
One way or another, Mysterio seems to be on great terms with the company, and he stopped by the SmackDown Live event in San Diego on Monday night to visit with his friend Sin Cara.
Mysterio posted the following:
“Had a chance to chop it up with my homie @sincarawwe tonight for @wwe 619 Smackdown house show! Gusto verte carnal, sigue dándole duro….. Nos vemos pronto primero Dios! #Booyaka619”
The Miz had to wrestle not once, but twice this week on Monday Night Raw, and he wasn’t very happy about that fact.
Seth Rollins was The Miz’s first opponent of the night, followed by Finn Balor, and after Miz’s second match Rollins was interviewed backstage. The Architect officially challenged Miz to an Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 34, and now it looks like the title could end up being defended in a triple threat match.
Miz was asked about Seth Rollins saying he deserves a title shot, and Miz interrupted saying that he deserves to be the main event of WrestleMania, and regardless of what Kurt Angle says, the IC Title will be in the main event.
