This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured two qualifying matches for the WWE World Cup tournament which is set to take place at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
Rusev faced off against The Miz in the first qualifying match, and Rusev lost after Aiden English provided a distraction and Miz rolled Rusev up.
Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE later in the show, and he faced off against US Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in the second qualifying match of the night.
Mysterio ended up picking up the win over Nakamura and claimed the final spot in the tournament.
Rey Mysterio, The Miz, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, John Cena, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler have all qualified for the tournament.
