Rey Mysterio On Why He Missed WrestleMania, If He Has Coronavirus

WWE had to make some major changes to WrestleMania 36 due to coronavirus and several names had to miss the Show of Shows this year.

Rey Mysterio recently spoke to Fox Sports MX and explained in Spanish that he wasn’t feeling well when WWE started taping shows at the Performance Center, so the doctors opted for him to stay home.

Mysterio also clarified that he did not show signs or symptoms of having coronavirus.

He speculated that he got sick while traveling from Orlando to San Diego.

It was originally reported that WWE officials were considering Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade for the US Title at WrestleMania 36.

With Mysterio out Andrade was put in a Raw Tag Team Title match that would have seen him and Angel Garza challenge The Street Profits, but Andrade was pulled due to injury and replaced by Austin Theory.
