Jon Moxley has been one of AEW’s top stars for some time now, but for many years he worked in WWE as the one and only Dean Ambrose.
Renee Paquette’s real life relationship with Jon Moxley was certainly no secret to wrestling fans, which made things interesting when Renee became a full time commentator on Monday Night Raw, and she had to do commentary for his segments.
During an interview with Chris Van Vliet Renee talked about the instructions she would receive regarding her commentary for Moxley, and she noted that it was all over the place.
“Some days I would get the feedback of, ‘Just call it like a wrestling match, you don’t know him.’ To then being like, ‘So what did you guys have for dinner last night? What did you guys talk about at home over the weekend?’ I’m like, ‘F***.’ I had no idea how to navigate that, so once he left I was like, ‘Well, at least I don’t have to deal with that anymore. Thank God.’”
Renee finished up with WWE last year following the SummerSlam pay-per-view. It’s not clear what she’ll be doing when he lengthy non-compete clause is up, but she did confirm that she’s not done with wrestling.
