Renee Young Reacts To Zelina Vega’s WWE Release

Zelina Vega has certainly made a name for herself over the last few years, which is why many people were shocked to find out that WWE released her from her contract on Friday.

Vega’s release was reportedly related to the fallout regarding WWE’s ban on third party platforms, and it’s also been reported that people backstage in both WWE and AEW were confused by the release.

Former WWE broadcaster Renee Young recently took to Twitter to comment on Vega’s release, and she noted that she has no doubt Zelina Vega will go on to do something incredible.

“We have all become very familiar with the talents and drive of @Zelina_VegaWWE. Despite a pain in the ass setback, i have no doubt she will wind up doing something incredible in a matter of time. You can’t steal someone’s magic.”

Zelina Vega commented on her WWE release when she returned to Twitch on Friday, and she noted that she’s heartbroken, but thankful.

“All I ever wanted since I was a four-year-old girl was to be a WWE superstar. And not just for me but my dad too. So, I’m grateful to WWE and NXT for making this dream a reality. I’m not mad at anyone, I’m only thankful. If not for NXT, I would have never met my husband and some incredible people along the way. I’m not retiring from wrestling. Right now, I’m sad and heartbroken, and don’t know what the future holds. But I know I will be here [on Twitch] with you guys, and I’m truly grateful for that too.”
