Last year Jon Moxley parted ways with WWE, and shortly after he made his AEW debut at Double or Nothing. With Moxley being married to Renee Young in real life, some fans have brought up the topic of Renee jumping to AEW in the future, and it’s hindered Renee’s Twitter experience.
Renee Young recently talked about fans thinking she’s going to AEW on the After The Bell podcast, and she explained why she feels like she can’t tweet about Moxley’s matches in All Elite Wrestling.
“It’s so annoying. It’s stupid that I feel like I can’t tweet about something or that I can’t talk about a match that he had or whatever because all this background, ‘AEW CONFIRMED! RENEE YOUNG GOING TO AEW!’ It’s like, guys, give me a break. It’s non-stop. But having so much wrestling on TV, I don’t know. People need to take a chill pill.”
Young also explained that some fans are nicer to her now because they’re so happy to see Jon Moxley happy in AEW.
“I feel like they’re nicer to me [because Jon works for AEW]. Jon’s fans are so happy to see him happy that there doesn’t seem to be much backlash other than if somebody wants to throw ratings at you one week. I kind of stay away from that. You get so caught up in dumb shit on social media. I truly don’t want to tweet something and feel like I’m rocking the boat, and all of a sudden, someone from WWE is going to call me up and they’re gonna be annoyed at something I said. So I take myself out of the equation for the most part.”
Renee Young also recently noted on Twitter that she’s Japan bound, presumably to support Jon Moxley who is set to challenge Lance Archer for the IWGP United States Championship in a Texas Deathmatch.
