Renee Young Censored On Total Divas, New Hardy Boyz DVD Coming Soon

WWE can be a confusing place to work because sometimes the company’s decisions don’t really seem to make much sense. But the creative direction of the product must be taken seriously and whenever the company is represented on television things must be done a certain way.

Although the reason wasn’t quite made clear, it seems Renee Young wasn’t allowed to call Dean Ambrose by his real name while on Total Divas. It seems many people are allowed to go by their real names, but in the instance of Renee Young and Dean Ambrose, she always called him Dean even when in reality she might have been calling him by his actual name.

Dean Ambrose’s given name is Jonathan Good which might have been confusing for some viewers seeing how since Cena and Uso are around there are already a couple Johns on Total Divas. So that might be why the decision was made for Renee Young to call her husband Dean on television.

The WWE announcer revealed there were times when she called Ambrose by his actual first name but the editing department changed it in post-production with a voice over. So either WWE or E! really didn’t want you to hear Renee Young calling Dean Ambrose “Jon.”

It looks like WWE is going to pump out one more DVD set of the Hardy Boyz before they break into the newly acquired Broken Universe library.

“Twist of Fate: The Best of the Hardy Boyz” is expected to consist of a match compilation format with interviews inserted throughout and is supposed to be out later this year.

The Wrestling DVD Network provided the following synopsis for the DVD which doesn’t seem to include any Broken Universe talk. But there is always plenty of time for WWE to utilize that valuable footage down the line.
