Back in April WWE released a number of talents from the main roster and NXT, and Lio Rush happened to be one of the names that got released.
Since then Lio Rush has teased retirement, and he wrestled Joey Janela in what was billed as “The Final Match” at the GCW Homecoming Night Two event.
Joey Janela picked up the win, and during the match there was a crazy spot which saw Janela hit Rush with an elbow drop from the top of a pillar.
After the match Joey Janela got on the mic and praised Lio Rush, and ACH, saying that they speak the truth. Janela also told Rush that he’s not going to let him retire from pro wrestling.
Rush thanked everyone and left the ring, but it’s unclear at this point if he has actually retired or not.
