So far in 2021 there have been several waves of WWE releases, and on Friday it was reported that World Wrestling Entertainment released the following names:
Tino Sabbatelli, Killian Dain, Sunil Singh, Samir Singh, Marina Shafir, Arturo Ruas, Curt Stallion, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Chase Parker, Matt Martel, Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and August Grey.
It’s no big secret that Vince McMahon likes bigger wrestlers, which is why some may have been surprised to find out that 300 pound Killian Dain had been released from the company.
Dave Meltzer discussed the release on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that Killian Dain just wasn’t “Vince’s type of guy.” He also noted that WWE has other 300 pound wrestlers, and that the company just didn’t see Dain as someone they were going to push.
At this point it’s not clear where he might end up next, but Killian Dain released the following statement after he was released:
Chip is back on my shoulder.
