This week quite a few WWE Superstars were released due to budget cuts, and there were some surprising names on the list.
Former Raw Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows signed new contracts with WWE last year, but they are no longer with the company.
In regards to what could be happening next, Karl Anderson posted a video of an airplane landing in Tokyo, seemingly teasing a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Anderson found success working with New Japan, and he’s a former 4 time IWGP Tag Team Champion, and he managed to win the titles three times with Luke Gallows.
It remains to be seen if he’ll return to NJPW, but the teaser video seems to be an indication that he’s interested in exploring that option.
